Mission Statement

The mission of the Training & Placement Department is to help students clarify their educational and career goals as well as acquire employment-seeking skills and ultimately attain desired employment.

Objectives of Training and Placement Department

The objectives of the Training & Placement Department are specifically to: 

• Assist students develop/clarify their academic and career interests, and their short and long-term goals through individual counseling and group sessions.
• Assist students develop and implement successful job search strategies.
• Work with Faculty members and Department Heads to integrate career planning and academic curriculum as well as coordinate Project Work/ Summer Training/internship programs.
• Serve the community by providing access to our campus wide activities & career resources.
• Provide resources and activities to facilitate the career planning process. 
• Act as a link between students, alumni and the corporate organisations
• Upgradation of the students skill sets commensurate with the expectations of the industry.
• Generation of awareness in the students regarding future career options available to them.
• Assisting different companies in recruiting our candidates as per their requirements.
• Assisting our students in obtaining final placement in reputed companies.
• Placement of students in different companies for summer internship after fourth semester. 

 KRAs

Towards this the specific KRAs for the Placement Committee are 3 fold as under:

1. Initiating series of campus and off campus recruitments, and making arrangements with corporate organizations for placement of our various students in the areas of management.

2. Placement of students in different companies for summer internship after the fourth semester.

3.To prepare students in keeping with the changing requirements of business and industry industry visits to be arranged with good organizations.For the furtherance of this objective  guest lectures also to be arranged every month by senior executives/professionals.

The industry has in the past eagerly sought the intellectual capital of JIMS by participating in the final placement process. This year has been no exception as prestigeous companies made a beeline for our campus to recruit the best of talent. Truly the ready absorption of our graduates by the industry speaks volumes of not only the excellence of our academic programs but also of the top quality of our highly trained and groomed students.
