Competitiveness of Indian Industry during Economic Slowdown: Challenges, opportunities and innovations

Efforts are being made to continuously improve and upgrade the quality of faculty through greater interaction with the industry.

In this direction,  a seminar was organized on Competitiveness of Indian Industry during Economic Slowdown: Challenges, opportunities and innovations on 29^th September, 2009. The seminar was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Dr. B.B.Bhattacharya. The consulting editor of economic times Mythili Bhusnurnath delivered the key note address.Other distinguished speakers at the seminar were Sh. H.N Gupta, former Principal adviser Planning Commission, Dr. Kulwant Singh, Adviser United Nations Centre for Human Settlements, Sh. Rakesh Kapoor, Managing Director, IFCI factors and Sh. Ajai Sahai, Director General FIEO.In addition, a large number of guest speakers from industry addressed the students during August-November 2009 semester.A list of the guest speakers is enclosed.
