From Chairman’s Desk

When it comes to being productive, most of us never really reach our full potential. In order to use our full potential, we must endeavor to keep our surroundings organised, keep everything in an organised fashion and prioritize a list of the tasks based on both importance and urgency. Studying or working for three to four hours at a stretch is likely to be counter-productive and thus take short but frequent breaks to be able to put in your best effort consistently. Considering the work at hand, we must set realistic & achievable targets. It might help to break down your goals into small, identifiable steps and it is advisable to factor in contingencies.
We all make mistakes. However, it’s important to learn from them and move on. Brooding about errors will only lead to problems in productivity and efficiency. When things go wrong, we have to be positive and take a problem-solving approach. It is advisable not to indulge in blame games and instead evaluate the situation and take the required action. Try finishing your work on time and do not let work pile up. A deadline can often be our friend. Taking time out for things we enjoy doing, will refresh and energize us, leading to better efficiency and results. Reward yourself for a job well done. Positive self-strokes will motivate you to keep up the good work.

Disruptive Marketing
Disruptive marketing Disruptive marketing is more than just a buzzword. In “the age of the customer”, the only way to stay competitive is by rethinking your traditional marketing practices and rules you are playing by. As the way customers understand, react to and accept companies, has changed. The marketers must take more risks and increasingly trust their intuition. In fact, today’s distraction-filled world where consumers are exposed to ~10,000 brand messages per day has made disruption highly relevant. But what does disruptive marketing strategy entail and how can brands utilize it to boost their marketing efforts?

There are two types of market disruptions:

  • Novelty - fulfills customer’s needs in a new way offering a completely new product or service.
  • Adoption - improves the current product or service and makes it faster, better or cheaper.
