Department of Information Technology, JIMS, Vasant Kunj organized an online Webinar for BCA–I semester students of I-II (Morning & Evening) Shift students on “Data Science and Career opportunities” which was taken by Mr. Deepak Kumar, Associate Vice President-Data Science, Karvy Insights. Speaker is also a trainer in the field of data science and analytics. Speaker introduced students with Data Science concept and gave an insight of it. The session covered the importance of data science and the need of it in IT industry. Speaker also informed the functions of data science in different fields such as Governance, Healthcare, Business, Retail, Manufacturing and many more. Students were also informed about the career opportunities in this field and areas which they can explore, by the speaker. The sessions ended with question answer round where speaker cleared the doubts of students.
