On 23rd May 2020 Department of Information Technology, Jagannath International Management School, Vasant Kunj in collaboration with ICT Academy, an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries and Guru Gobind Sing IndraPrastha University, Delhi organized an Online National Conference on Information Technology and Innovation Ecosystems (NCITIE2020) on Zoom Online Platform. The conference which was earlier scheduled for 14th March and had to be forcibly postponed and held online due to Covid19 Pandemic Complete Lockdown in Delhi-NCR. It was an initiative taken for the enhancement of knowledge of its faculty, researchers from industry and academia along with the students in respect of recent advances and innovative trends in the field of Information Technology. The conference was attended by 75+ participants and around 24 papers were presented on the virtual platform. The Inaugural session started sharp at 10.00am as per schedule in which we seeed the blessings of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and arts, for helping us all to absorb the free flow of knowledge and wisdom shared during the session. It was followed by the welcome address by Dr. Ravi K Dhar, Director, JIMS, VK who motivated all the attendees with his thought-provoking insights and raised the enthusiasm of all the students and paper presenters too. The session moved further by a valuable Keynote Speech taken by Dr K VijayaLaxmi, Vice President of Development Alternatives Groupa and Winner of National Award for Women's Development (2007) responsible for technology innovation and research at the Group. A chemist by training, her main focus and achievements are in the area of water quality management, associated with development and application of innovative technologies that address the problems of women. Ma’am gave an inspiring presentation, from her years of research, depth of understanding of water issues, and issisted on need of Innovative Software / Hardware based IT Solutions with such depth and intriguing way inspiring many of the aspiring students and researchers.
