Department of Information Technology, JIMS, Vasant Kunj organized an online seminar on “Post-Covid E-commerce boom-build, launch and grow a profitable online store” which was lead by Mr. Mukteesh Sharma, Digital Marketing Trainer at Mapping Skills and Mr. Shikhar Garg, Digital Marketing Expert at Mapping Skills. The objective of the online seminar was to tell the students more and more about e-commerce. The resource persons Mr. Mukteesh Sharma & Mr. Shikhar Garg reflected their profound knowledge on the topic. The program started by our respected Director Dr. Ravi K Dhar and keynote introduction to e-commerce world. The first speaker Mr Mukteesh Sharma started with main objective to explain about targeting customer on different categories and using online e-commerce tools according to it. He enlightened the students about the practicality of digital marketing. He told the audience about various tools of marketing, modes of getting the target audience through various sources and much more. He also told about how to start an online store, budget and services to be used, etc. Later he discussed about effects on e-commerce. Mr Shikhar Garg shared his learning and experiences with us. Mr. Shikhar Garg discussed about current trends and effects of e commerce through various graphs via google searches and recordings, which he used to make his research paper. he session ended with an interaction between the audience and the speakers with a variety of questions asked by students as well as the faculty members of JIMS too. Overall, it was quite a wonderful experience having such wonderful speakers along with us. Then the program ended with a speech given by our respected Dr Meenakshi Narula, HOD-IT and a vote of thanks.
