The G20 is a forum for Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors to discuss global
economic and financial issues, representing 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of global
trade, and two-thirds of the world's population. India holds the G20 Presidency from
December 2022 to November 2023, with a theme of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" or "One Earth ·
One Family · One Future". The theme highlights environmentally sustainable and
responsible choices, both at the individual and national levels, leading to globally
transformative actions resulting in a cleaner, greener, and bluer future.
Jagannath International Management School is organizing a hackathon called "Hack-o-Jims"
under the G20 banner, where students can showcase their technical solutions to problems
related to the G20 summit theme. The event aims to provide a platform for individuals
who are passionate about creating a significant impact by addressing the prevalent
issues affecting the G20 countries.

Any student with a valid college ID card and a receipt of registration may participate.
Everybody has a first time. We encourage first timers to participate in the Hackathon and get first-hand experience in building a real life product.
Yes, participants from different colleges/institutions may form a team. However, one participant may not be a part of different teams for the same event.
Unfortunately, individual participation won't be allowed but it is advised that at least three participants form a team.

The G20 Presidency holds the Summit and directs the G20 agenda for a calendar year. There are two concurrent tracks at the G20: the Finance Track and the Sherpa Track.The G20 process is coordinated from the Sherpa side by the Sherpas of the participating nations, who serve as the Leaders' personal envoys. The Finance Track is overseen by the central bank governors and finance ministers of the participating nations.
