From Chairman’s Desk

Dear Student,
As a part of the broad educational system, extra-curricular & the co-curricular activities are the key tools in the overall personality development of the students not only for entertainment, social and enjoyment purposes but also to gain and improve skills of the students. All such activities apart from academics help in improving the confidence level and overall growth of the students. The broad goals of such activities focus on the individual level, the institutional level and the community level. These activities are performed to complement the academic curriculum and to enhance the student's educational experience. They provide a setting to become involved and to interact with other students thus leading to increased learning and enhanced development. As the development of the individual is the main goal of extra-curricular activities the various experiences have a positive impact on the students' emotional, intellectual, social and inter-personal development. The students learn to negotiate, communicate, manage conflicts and lead others by working together with other individuals. These out-of-the-classroom activities help students to understand the importance of critical thinking skills, time management, academic and intellectual competence. Working with diverse group of individuals allows the students to gain more self-confidence and appreciation. Extra-curricular involvement allows students to link academic knowledge with practical experience which leads to a better understanding of their own abilities, talents and career goals. Taking part in all such activities is a must for every student.
