The Department of Media and Communication Studies, JIMS Vasant Kunj, organized an Orientation Ceremony for the first-year BAJMC students of Batch 2026–30 on 26 August 2026 at the Auditorium. The programme welcomed students to their academic journey and introduced them to the diverse career opportunities across journalism, digital media, advertising, public relations, content creation, and filmmaking.

Prof. (Dr.) K. G. Suresh, Director, India Habitat Centre, delivered the Expert Address and highlighted the importance of communication, writing skills, current affairs, curiosity, and responsible journalism. Ms. Deeksha Mishra, lifestyle influencer and digital content creator, shared insights into creativity, confidence, consistency, and emerging opportunities in digital media. The session provided students with valuable industry perspectives and encouraged them to make the most of their academic journey.
