Established in 2003, JIMS, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, has emerged as one of the topmost institutes of GGSIPU in Delhi in just over a decade.
Students of BJMC 1st year shift 1 went for an Industry Visit to Vikas Publishing House on 11th November ( Monday). It was an enriching experience for the students. The students were warmly welcomed by the Publishing team. Firstly they gave brief information about how books are made and all the processes behind it. Then the students explored the publishing house’s facilities, including the editorial, design, and printing departments.
They learned about the meticulous editing process, from manuscript selection to proofreading. The design team showcased their creative process, highlighting the importance of cover art and typography. All these machines gave real illustrations of what was explained.
